If you believe Congress members can be bought by the money that is donated to them by businesses and groups, then the National Association of Realtors owns California and Emily's List owns eight other states. MapLight, a nonpartisan research group that focuses on money and politics, released that information and a database showing the top five business and group donors to sitting members of Congress.
