Birmingham ranks 91st for 10-year job growth

Employment in Birmingham has dropped 7.86 percent over the last 10 years, according to a new report. The analysis of Bureau of Labor Statistics data by On Numbers reported average annual employment of 405,600 in 2011, which was down from 440,200 in 2001. Birmingham ranks 91st for percentage change over the 10-year period. Its raw change of 34,600 jobs ranks No. 85 in the nation. You can click here for the full report from On Numbers.
