Disney, Peterson reach deal on National Harbor site

We don't have the details yet, but we're told the Peterson Cos. and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts have reached a deal to bring the 15-acre Disney parcel back into the National Harbor fold. Disney bought the land overlooking the Potomac River in May 2009 for $11 million. The amusement park giant planned a standalone 500-room resort hotel, perhaps something akin to its Aulani, Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii. Its unclear how far Disney got into its National Harbor planning. In November, Disney backed out, citing poor timing and its planned resort expansions elsewhere…
