Mercy has named Donn Sorensen as regional president of the $4 billion health system’s east Missouri region. Sorensen replaces Mike McCurry, who served as interim regional president since August 2010. Along with Sorensen, Mercy named Dr. Charles Rehm as regional chief administrative officer. Both Sorensen and Rehm will assume the new roles on March 12. Mercy officials said Sorensen and Rehm will work in tandem, following an administrative/physician leadership model.
